Today i discovered the joys of being an exchange student. After having lowered hopes from the mark i received on my first Kolokwium, (and hence studying more for my next one) I went to the Dr. Inz. and asked him if I could see the test, see my mistakes. He looked at me, and the mark, and apologized, "Ohh, I didn't realize that this was pana test; If I'd have known I would have disregarded most of these orthographic errors. I'll look over your mark, and change it; you'll be pleased with the new outcome."
Thank you Dr. Inz. Stanisław Suchodowski.
Since my first post, I have acquired a new camera, in exchange for 750zl. Much better than my old one, although.. not quite the same. Here's a few specimens:

inside the main building at my university, just past the lobby.
right outside the main building of my university
I also had a nice meeting with the cops.. While drinking in public. Walking through a park with the Spaniards I used to live with, we met some cops. They said in Polish, "What a nice evening to drink beer in the park," (it's illegal to drink in public places in Poland) to which I replied, trying to give as much of a Canadian accent as possible "sorry sir, I don't comprehend." One of them spoke english, and told us we had to get rid of the beer, but there was no mention of the 100PLN fine that normally applies.
On Wednesday, we have the "wybory Miss Politechnik Warszawska," you can find the competitors here: http://www.polibuda.info/fotokonkurs_galeria.php?galleryId=7
(a much better selection than at UW.. I study at the faculty MEiL). The school thoughtfully gave us half the day off school (well, actually after 10am) to commemorate this event. Unfortunately, I have ANOTHER test on Thursday
