I think this deserves a post... a post dedicated to this:

This definitely deserves an explanation. It turns out that they found my wallet on that train.... god bless that clerk at the Mageburg train station - she understood very little English, and I, very little German, but she managed to help me either way. It was sent to the Polish embasy in Berlin - with every penny still in it.
I received a phone call from the rez secretary - that's how I first found out (the wallet had my residence card in it, and the card had the number to the rez). The only problem was - the embasy, by their internal policy - was not allowed to send the wallet nor the money to me - just the documents inside. I figured - this was better than nothing. She sent in by an internal courier to the polish ministry of international affairs - just down the street from my rez... but after she sent it she told me that she managed to talk the courier into taking the whole thing - money, wallet, and documents.
I picked it up on tuesday, june 19th - and Em, it's not the same brown thing that I had from Peru - that one was used to pieces, and I got rid of it in Rome - this one's from Italy.

I have to say - alot of people told me that if I go to Poland, and europe, I'll have to watch out with this problem... I'm not sure what to say. But one thing is fore sure - I have a little supersition - if I ever test my luck (eg. with the lottery or with casinos) then it'll run out - so I'm definitely never going to casinos and I'm never going to play the lottery. But... I'm not sure about the wallet :)
