It was thursday, may 10th. The night before I had 3 hours of sleep - I had to hand in a project the next day. We left at 7:15am, and arrived just short of 10am at the largest thermal power plant in europe.

There are 12 blocks of 37o MW, with a total of 4440MW altogether - twelve generators all in one room. The power plant is fueled by lignite (węgiel brunatny) - and there's an open pit mine right beside the power plant:

ALSTOM signed a contract with BOT - the owner of the power plant, to work on a 13th block - with a power output of 833MW - working above the critical point of water... no power plant works at above these values in Poland. No other room in the world produces more power than the one holding those 12 generators:

- It was a nice break from class that day... and the trip cost 15PLN - about 6CAN (food and bus trip incl.)
